What is CBT?
CBT is a type of talking therapy that incorporates and combines cognitive and behavioural techniques to target the problem you’re experiencing.

A strength of CBT is the attention paid to the connections between your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and bodily sensations; targeting one area will have benefits for the others!
Additionally, CBT is solution-focused. It prioritises identifying and addressing the problem here and now, and equipping you with practical solutions to combat it.
In CBT, your goals are prioritised. It’s most important that you’re working towards something you actually want and is achievable for you. Even if you’re not quite sure what your goal is, your therapist can help you figure that out!
CBT is also very flexible. The approach, explanations and techniques can be adapted by your therapist to suit you. This means CBT is appropriate for people of all ages and stages of development!

Services Available
I offer CBT for a range of presentations such as depression, low mood, stress, phobias, sleep disorders, OCD, generalised anxiety, social anxiety, separation anxiety, anger, aggression, skin-picking, self-harm, suicidal ideation and PTSD. If you are unsure about your presentation or do not see your presentation listed, please get in touch for more information.
I offer CBT to children, young people, adults and families. My approach is tailored to each unique individual to suit their therapeutic needs.
Sessions are 50 minutes long. For private clients, fees are £40 per session. However, my fees are on a sliding scale and I am able to adjust this for students and low-income clients. If sessions are booked in blocks (10 sessions), I offer a £10 discount. For insurance-related cases, fees are £80 per session due to admin demands.
A free 50-minute initial appointment is available. This allows me to better-understand what you're experiencing and determine your suitability for CBT. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and make sure I'm the right therapist for you.
NHS waiting lists for talking therapies can be as long as 18 months. For some, this wait can seem daunting and unattainable. I am happy to offer immediate availability as well as take bookings for later dates.
I currently have availability for online and telephone CBT sessions Monday - Friday. My hours are flexible, giving you the benefit of finding a regular appointment time that suits your schedule.
I do not currently offer in-person sessions.
